Cite the Device Lab

Published

A Device Lab citation identifies the run by date, device, and OS build. Use the format from the 2026-10-20 study data package.

Fill in the run date, the device’s marketing name, and the OS version and build.

OpenPWA device test, <YYYY-MM-DD>, <device marketing name>, iOS <version> (<build>)

The data package includes its address in the citation.

OpenPWA device test, 2026-10-20, iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 18.6.2 (22G100). https://openpwa.net/research/2026-10-ios18-home-screen-web-apps/data/

Keep the build in the string.

Append the notebook entry number to cite one observation.

The notebook is append-only and corrections are later entries, so cite the latest entry on a topic.

Link to the result row on the behaviour page to cite one result. For example, the status-bar result of the 2026-10-20 run is at /lab/behaviour/status-bar-colour-source/#r-2026-10-20-ios-18-6-2-22g100.

The licence lets you copy and adapt the material, including commercially, if you give credit, link the licence and indicate any changes you made. The data page asks you to credit “OpenPWA” with a link to that page.
