Measured behaviours

Published

Measured behaviours describe what a platform does under test: for example, which source colours the iOS status-bar strip or whether a cookie set in Safari reaches a Home Screen app.

A behaviour is a fact about a platform; a test is a procedure. One behaviour can draw on several tests, and one test can feed several behaviours. The protocol index maps test ids to behaviours.

The published runs were measured on one iPhone 16 Pro under iOS 18.6.2 (22G100) on 2026-10-20. Each topic lists its platforms and latest run. Each topic also records whether the result agrees with documented support or adds a condition, or differs from it. Topics awaiting a published run are on the roadmap.

Each result row carries a confidence label. A is an instrumented read: a published probe’s output, read over the WebKit remote inspector or WebDriver and stored verbatim. S is a screenshot or a screen recording analysed afterwards. The study’s report (§5.4 and §11) also labels claims that rest only on the operator’s verbal report as O; no result row on these pages rests on O alone. The citation page explains how to cite a row.
